British curriculum, explained!
How a topic works on AskTeko
Every British curriculum topic follows the same short loop. Children always know what’s next, and nobody wastes time on what they already understand.

Seven steps, about fifteen minutes
Pick a topic
Choose from the course map, or follow Teko’s suggestion for today.
Quick check
Two or three questions show what your child already knows, so they don’t repeat what they’ve mastered.
Bite-size lesson
Short cards, clear diagrams and an animated film explain one idea at a time, in plain language.
Guided practice
Teko works alongside. Hints arrive one at a time, and every mistake gets a clear, kind explanation.
On your own
A few questions without help, to check the idea has really stuck.
Progress update
The topic fills up only when your child shows they understand it, not just because they reached the end.
Next step
Teko suggests what to do next and brings older topics back a few days later, so they stay fresh.

What Teko will and won’t do
Teko is a study companion, not an answer machine. These rules shape every hint and explanation.
Teko will ask a guiding question first
The aim is for your child to do the thinking. The full method appears only when it’s really needed.
Teko won’t just give the answer
Hints start small and get bigger, so there’s always a chance to work it out.
Teko will explain it another way
If an explanation doesn’t land, your child can ask for a different one: a picture, an example or simpler words.
Teko won’t wander off topic
Help stays on the lesson in front of your child. There’s no open chat and no contact with strangers.
Teko will say when it isn’t sure
Answers are checked against reviewed lesson content, and anything unclear is flagged rather than guessed.
Teko won’t compare children
No leaderboards and no rankings. Progress is measured against your child’s own last attempt.
Written by people, checked by people
Every lesson, question and hint on AskTeko is original, written by our team to match the curriculum objectives for each stage. We don’t copy textbooks or reproduce past exam papers.
Each question is checked before it goes live, and parents can flag anything that looks wrong with one tap.
