British curriculum, explained!

A clear view of your child’s learning

You don’t need to sit beside them to know how it’s going. AskTeko tells you what was practised, what’s improving and the one thing worth doing next.

What you’ll see

Topic progress

Each topic fills up as your child shows understanding, based on questions answered without help.

The tricky bits

Common mix-ups Teko spotted, such as confusing area with perimeter, with a short note on how to help.

One next step

Not a to-do list. Just the most useful thing to practise next.

Tricky bit this week: mixing up mass and weight. Teko has added a two-minute recap.

Safety and privacy, by design

These are built into how AskTeko works. You don’t have to find a setting to switch them on.

Parent-managed accounts

A parent or guardian creates the account. Children use a profile under it and never need their own email.

Only what’s needed

A nickname, school year, subjects and answers. School name is optional. We never ask for your child’s full name, photo or date of birth.

No adverts, no data selling

Your family’s data is used to run AskTeko and nothing else.

No open chat

There’s no messaging, no public profiles and no way for strangers to contact your child.

AI help with limits

Teko’s hints stay on the current lesson and are checked against reviewed content.

Your data, your call

Ask for a copy of your data, or delete a profile or your whole account, whenever you like.

Healthy habits, not screen time

A good session is ten to twenty focused minutes. AskTeko celebrates effort and finished topics, never time spent in the app.

There are no streak warnings, no countdown timers and no “don’t lose your progress” messages. Progress is saved, so a week off is fine.

Parent questions

How does AskTeko match what my child does at school?

If your child is at a British curriculum school, AskTeko follows the same learning objectives: the Cambridge Primary and Lower Secondary frameworks for each stage, in a sensible teaching order. AskTeko is independent and isn’t endorsed by Cambridge.

Will it help with the Checkpoint tests?

AskTeko practises the skills and knowledge those tests cover, using original questions in a similar style. We can’t promise results, but we can show you which topics are secure and which need more work.

Can I add more than one child?

Yes. Add a profile for each child, each with their own stage and subjects. Their progress is kept separate.

Where is our data stored?

Accounts and learner profiles are stored with Amazon Web Services, encrypted, in their US East data centre, and protected under UK GDPR. Our privacy policy lists every service we use.

How do I delete our account?

Choose Delete my account in your family home. Every learner profile and all their progress is removed straight away. You can also email privacy@askteko.com.
